a) Pageview analytics (no cookies, no personal data)

When you visit a page, our server records the URL path (e.g. /en/) and increments a counter. We do not store your IP address in analytics files, set analytics cookies, or link visits to individuals. Nginx server access logs are retained for up to 14 days for security monitoring and then automatically rotated. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage.

b) Audit requests

When you submit a URL for analysis, that URL is sent to our server, fetched once, analysed in memory, and cached for up to 5 minutes. We do not persistently store the URLs you submit or link them to you. The audit tool is fully functional regardless of cookie consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a service you requested.

c) Google AdSense (only after your consent)

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google AdSense is loaded. AdSense sets cookies and may process your IP address and browsing behaviour across sites for personalised advertising. Google acts as an independent controller for this processing. See Google's Privacy Policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

d) Language preference cookie

We set a cmar_locale cookie to remember the language you selected. This cookie contains only a language code (e.g. de) and does not identify you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing a consistent language experience.

• Amazon Lightsail (AWS) — server hosting (EU region). Processes request data on our behalf.
• Google LLC — AdSense advertising, only after consent. Independent controller.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use any tracking pixels, remarketing tags, or social-media widgets that load without your consent.

• Nginx access logs: max 14 days, then rotated.
• Aggregate pageview stats: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Consent cookie (cmar_cookie_consent): 12 months, or until you reset it.
• Language cookie (cmar_locale): 12 months.

You have the right to access, correct, erase, and port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we collect virtually no personal data (no accounts, no emails, no identified browsing history), most requests are satisfied by the fact that nothing was stored.
